Lecturer in Social Policy, Bangor University

I am a Lecturer in Social Policy and the Year One Coordinator in the School of Social Sciences at Bangor University. My areas of interest are around the equality themes, especially in conjunction with education, employment and unemployment. I have just completed my PhD on the long term trajectories of graduates. Previously I managed projects relating to Gypsy and Travellers, housing and employment barriers for a range of policy makers.

I have wide research interests but I can only hope that in their total they are my attempt to encapsulate Becker's (1967) call to "to grant those labelled as deviant a voice hitherto silenced by the hubris of policy-makers" (p247).
