Dr. Yamanis studies health behavior and community-based interventions to improve health for vulnerable communities. She is an expert in HIV prevention, and also conducted research during the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone. Moreover, she studies health care access and HIV for Latinx immigrants in the United States.
