Emeritus Professor, University of Cape Town

I am a retired professor of evolutionary and conservation biology. During my 40 years at the University of Cape Town, I: educated students who have gone on to become professors/lecturers, museum directors and conservation biologists in their own right; authored more that 200 scientific papers in peer-reviewed publications; and was elected a Fellow at UCT and president of the southern African Societies of Wildlife Research and Systematic Biology.
