Tim is an economist with around 10 years’ experience in public sector and consulting roles. He joined Grattan in September 2020 after several years as a freelance consultant working primarily on transport, tax, and environmental policy. Prior to that he was employed by Ernst and Young and the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance.
He has a PhD from the University of Melbourne, focused largely on the economics of land tax, as well as a Masters in economics from the University of Melbourne and bachelor’s degrees in economics and mathematics from Victoria University of Wellington, NZ.
