Trevor Goodyear is a PhD student in the School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia. Through his doctoral studies and work as an Addiction Medicine Research Fellow with the BC Centre on Substance Use, he is engaged in equity-promoting research with 2SLGBTQ+ people and others who use drugs. Trevor prioritizes approaches to research that centre people with lived experience, and that draw attention to the ways in which socio-structural conditions influence access to health and healthcare.
Trevor is also a registered nurse with clinical expertise in youth mental health. He holds Master of Public Health and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from the University of British Columbia.
