Lecturer, School of Life and Environmental Sciences, Deakin University

Currently a lecturer in Hazardous Materials Management at Deakin University with prior experience in employment at Victoria's Environment Protection Authority.

I have consulted widely in waste management within Australia and overseas - with recent projects based on identifying recycling contamination and educating for waste management.

Research interests lie in waste management (from many sectors including healthcare, households and commercial/industrial sectors), environment management systems – with an emphasis on the healthcare sector, life cycle assessment, education for waste management (in particular waste minimisation) and municipal waste management. Interests also lie in linking issues such as social aspects, risk assessment and occupational health and safety to waste management particularly in areas where implementing waste management techniques may upset current social structures.
