Valeria R. Parreira is a Research Manager in the Canadian Research Institute for Food Safety (CRIFS) and an Adjunct Faculty in Pathobiology at University of Guelph. Both positions that allow her to work directly with research on foodborne pathogens and supervision of Graduate students.
She is a microbiologist/ molecular biologist by formation who works with several different foodborne pathogens such as L. monocytogenes, C. sakazakii, Salmonella enterica, C. perfringens and human Norovirus.
