I have trained as an architect, with a specialisation in conservation of built heritage. I have over a decade of experience working in India, focusing on urban regeneration, disasters and heritage. I am currently pursuing my doctoral research at Institute for Culture and Society, Western Sydney University, where I examine post-disaster reconstruction practices for heritage in Nepal following the earthquakes in 2015 and 1934.
