Venessa Paech is an internationally regarded online community expert, working as community manager, consultant, and strategist across two decades. In 2009 she founded the Australian Community Manager Roundtable and in 2011 co-founded Swarm Conference - the APAC conference for online community professionals. She co-founded the Australian Community Managers national network (ACM), produces the annual ACM Survey benchmarking trends in the sector and co-developed the Australian Community Management Code of Ethics. She is widely published on online communities, trolling, social media and online community management practice and is the go-to speaker and commentator for online community in APAC. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney, researching AI and online communities.
