Vyoma Dhar Sharma

DPhil candidate in International Development, University of Oxford

Vyoma Dhar Sharma is DPhil candidate at Wolfson College in Oxford. Her research work focuses on global health, Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) paradigm and the gendered nature of illness. It explores how healthy womanhood is conceptualized under RCH— a global health policy paradigm governing women’s health in low- and middle-income countries such as India.

Vyoma has previously worked as public health and development researcher in India. She has been part of projects based within African and Asian health systems. She holds a Masters in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, and a Bachelors in English Literature (Honours) from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi, India.
