William Mitchell

Chaired Professor & Academic Director, Rotman Global Executive MBA in Healthcare & Life Sciences, University of Toronto

Will Mitchell is the Anthony S. Fell Chair in New Technologies and Commercialization at the Rotman School of Management of the University of Toronto. Will earned a Ph.D. degree at the School of Business Administration of the University of California at Berkeley and a BBA (Honours) degree at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia. Before joining University of Toronto, he was a faculty member at Duke University and the University of Michigan. He publishes actively in the strategy field, with an emphasis on business dynamics in developed and emerging markets, and teaches courses on business strategy in degree and executive programs. Much of his work and teaching focus on the global healthcare and life sciences sector. Will is academic co-director of Rotman’s Global Executive MBA in Health and Life Sciences (GEMBA-HLS). Will is senior editor of Health, Management, Policy, and Innovation (HMPI), a consulting editor for the Strategic Management Journal, and a board member of Neuland Laboratories, Hyderabad, India.
