Wing Koon

I’m currently doing my PhD at the Quadram Institute as part of the Microbes, Microbiomes, and Bioinformatics program. I'm part of the Hildebrand group and will be working on predicting IBD status based off the gut microbiome composition. I will be doing this by using machine learning models as well as long-read DNA sequencing techniques.

Before joining the QIB, my undergraduate degree was in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and I went on to complete my Master’s in Microbiomes in Health and Disease.
