University of Roehampton

At the University of Roehampton there is a strong emphasis on supporting our students to reach their full potential and helping them to launch themselves onto successful graduate careers. The emphasis is on contact with academics who are internationally known for their work. Our graduate employment rates are among the best in London.

Roehampton is the only campus university in London, located in the south-west of the city, about 30 minutes from the West End. Our campus offers excellent facilities for learning, teaching and working, and a wide range of opportunities for students to get involved, through volunteering, playing sport, or joining one of our many student societies. It is also one of the safest campuses in the capital.

The University has a strong research profile, with a third of our research rated internationally excellent, and ranked as the best in the UK for our research in Biological Anthropology and Dance. The University has been awarding honorary degrees and fellowships since 1991 when it was the University of Surrey, Roehampton.

Some 9,000 students attend the University, 25% of whom are postgraduates. There is a cosmopolitan atmosphere, with more than 130 different nationalities on campus. We have a proud history stretching back 170 years through our four Colleges. Our strong values come from this rich collegiate history, built on community, engagement and partnership. At the same time, we have a very contemporary outlook, preparing our students for success in the modern world.
