I'm a physical oceanographer. I am very much interested by sea ice, how it grows, move, break, thickens and affect how the atmosphere and the ocean interact. This includes wave-ice interactions that defines the so-called marginal ice zone. My lab develops instrumentations and tools to access and observe sea ice in its natural environment. We also try to develop and improve models that would represents its behavior as faithfully as possible. I also lead a research network called Réseau Québec maritime that foster interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaborations among more than 200 institutions in Quebec.
