Millán MozotaHolgueras

My specialization is science dissemination and prehistoric archaeology. I am currently working as R+D+I personnel at the Milá y Fontanals Institution of the Higher Council for Scientific Research. I have a degree in History (UC), another in Journalism (Communication Sciences, UN) and a PhD from the University of Cantabria. I also have the position of linked doctor (affiliation without remuneration) of the International Institute of Prehistoric Research of Cantabria. My main lines of research are the following: 1) Inclusive dissemination of science and outreach activities with "forgotten groups". 2) Dissemination of scientific research in archaeology and enhancement of tangible and intangible heritage. 3) Modeling and 3D processing of archaeological objects for heritage analysis, conservation and dissemination; 4) Bone tool function and technology in Middle Paleolithic societies; 5) Bone tools in Neolithic funerary contexts. My professional career depends on two fundamental pillars: A) Outreach, didactics and dissemination of knowledge for all kinds of audiences, with a special interest in the social groups furthest from science; B) Scientific research with an experimental, quantitative, positive and procedural approach. In recent years my scientific work has gone through collaboration in a large number of scientific projects as a member of the research groups of the IMF-CSIC Archeology of Social Dynamics and INDI: Research and Outreach and also from the consolidated research groups AGREST and ASD with funding from AGAUR (Generalitat de Catalunya). That resulted in many collaborative publications in international peer-reviewed journals as well as scientific monographs.
