Peter Bishop

Dr Bishop is interested in understanding what extinct animals were like as living creatures, through approaches tested and validated on modern animals. He is particularly interested in using the principles of biomechanics to better clarify behaviour in extinct vertebrates, e.g., how animals stood and moved, walked or ran. He is also interested in how behaviour, function and biomechanics has evolved throughout vertebrate history.
