My research focuses on the application of remote sensing and spatial information systems to ecological monitoring, especially of disturbance processes and biological conservation issues. Particular topics are:

Multi and hyperspectral remote sensing for monitoring vegetation, wetlands and landscape changes.
Multitemporal analysis of remote sensing images.
Predictive mapping of species habitat distribution.
Landscape dynamics and interactions with wildfire regimes
Plant regeneration trends under different disturbance regimes
