Vaginismus is one of the leading causes of painful sex. Many people haven’t even heard of it, but vaginismus is extremely common and it can have a huge impact on women, their partners and relationships.
Is it genes, chromosomes, hormones, the immune sytem – or behaviour – that makes men more susceptible to the deadly disease?
Gender equality does not mean pretending that ‘male’ and ‘female’ do not exist.
Equal rights are not enough. Inequality exists in our minds, in our biases and prejudices, and that remains to be fixed.
